Our Leagues
In our first season, we will launch just one league, the East Bay Team Pickleball League. In the first season we plan to have four divisions. Divisions will be defined by age and skill level. The age levels will be Open (all ages) and Senior (50 and older). The skill levels in team pickleball are defined by an aggregate skill level of four players that make up a team for any given match. The skill levels will be 12 and 14. So the four divisions planned for the inaugural season will be Open 12 (all ages, average skill level of 3.0 for four team members), Senior 12 (50+, average skill level of 3.0 for four team members), Open 14 (all ages, average skill level of 3.5 for four team members), and Senior 14 (50+, average skill level of 3.5 for four team members). Additional divisions for this league, and additional leagues (including youth leagues), will be added based on demand as our local community team pickleball program grows.
The inaugural season will be in the Spring of 2026.

🏆 East Bay Team Pickleball League
Age and Skill Levels: Open 12, 50+ 12, Open 14, 50+ 14. For 12 and 50+ 12 devisions, an individual player's rating may not exceed 3.60. For Open 14 and 50+ 14 divisions, an individual player's rating may not exceed 4.10.
Format: Coed Teams comprised of 2 men and 2 women (Teams may have up to 8 players on their roster, but each match must be played by 2 men and 2 women who meet the age requirement and whose aggregate skill levels do not exceed 12 and 14, respectively.

This team pickleball league is named East Bay because all matches are expected to take place at court locations in the East Bay, and more speciically at courts located in the cities of Richmond, El Cerrito, Albany, and Oakland. This and all other details are subject to change based on player input leading up to launch of the inaugural season. Players do not have to reside in these cities. There are no restrictions on player residence of this writing.
