About Our Team Pickleball League

... where fair play and competitive spirit thrive

Our Mission

Our league exists to bring the added benefits of team competition to local community-based pickleball. We provide players at beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels a welcoming space that encourages players to build relationships, a sense of belonging, friendly rivalries, and a fan base similar to other team sports leagues.

Our Story

This is a new venture. Join to become part of the story that will be told by future generations.

What We Offer

The health and fitness benefits of playing pickleball are already well established and recognized. Social connection, skill development, and choices of competitive vs. recreational play can and do occur in all forms of play. Everyone who has played a team sport or rooted for a team already knows the additional benefits created by team sports.

Why Play With Us?

πŸ…

All Skill Levels

Players at all skill levels can participate in team pickleball. The DUPR skill rating system will be used to establish team skill levels. Each player must have a DUPR skill rating. Team skill levels are based on aggregated player ratings.

🎯

Fair Competition

In team pickleball, skill divisions primarily work through aggregated player ratings to ensure competitive and balanced matches. Divisions have a maximum total rating for the four players that represent a team in a match. Balance is achieved by a combination of an aggregate team rating and a maximum individual player rating.

🌟

Great Community

All forms of pickleball have proven to be great community-builders. This is part of the reason pickleball has been the fastest growing sport in the world for several years. Team pickleball adds another level of community building in and between teams, divisions, and leagues.

League Leadership

The all-volunteer league leadership structure of local community team pickleball will evolve over time. Initially, league leadership will include a board of volunteer administrators and coordinators representing the local communities that participate in the league, and the team captains representing each team in the league.

Contact the Board

In the beginning, team captains and representatives of the participating local communities will decide based on community input how the board will be formed and what communication channels will be used between team captains and boad members.
