New on the Community Board: Find a Sub and Available to Sub

We've added two new categories to the Community Board to make it easier to handle one of the most common last-minute challenges in team pickleball — finding a substitute player when someone can't make it on Sunday.

Find a Sub

If your team needs a substitute player for an upcoming match, post in the Find a Sub category on the Community Board. Include the match date, division, location, and how to contact you. When your post is approved, a notification will automatically go out to our Discord community so players who are available to sub can reach out to you directly.

Available to Sub

If you're available to substitute for a team — whether regularly or just for a specific date — post in the Available to Sub category. Let the community know your division eligibility, availability, and how to reach you. When your post is approved, a notification goes out on Discord so team captains looking for subs can find you quickly.

How it works with Discord

Both categories are connected to dedicated channels on our Discord server. Sub requests and availability posts are automatically announced there when approved, so you don't have to check the Community Board constantly — the notification comes to you. As always, posts on the Community Board are moderated before appearing publicly. We'll approve sub-related posts as quickly as possible given the time-sensitive nature of these requests.
